Every Hoosier Child Counts! Indiana K-12 Complete Count Committee

On April 1, 2020, the nation will recognize Census Day to celebrate the start of the new decennial census, a count of the total residing population of the United States as of that date. The United States Constitution requires that the federal government count all persons living in the country every 10 years regardless of age, race, ethnicity, or citizenship status. You can complete the 2020 census survey online as well as by phone or by mail. Households will begin receiving official Census Bureau mail with information in regards to how to respond via online, mail, or phone on March 1, 2020. The survey is easy to complete, and every response is confidential.

Attendance Area Waivers

Attendance area waivers are due by Wednesday, April 1, 2020. The purpose of this form is to request that your child/children attend an elementary school within the Jennings County School Corporation other than the school that serves the attendance area of the child's legal residence. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for providing all transportation to and from school. If parents or legal guardians make any effort to circumvent a decision after a waiver denial, we will return the child to enroll in his/her appropriate home school. Please be certain to complete the attendance area waiver request form entirely in order to receive full consideration of your waiver request.
